“Helping the needy children”
Projects

Education

Thousands of children every day drop out of school and never able to continue

Poverty plays a big role in the increasing rate of children not able to access quality education.

So CAI is implementing its education project through the following programs

  • Awarding of scholarships to children in need.
  • Creating and connecting community schools to other schools in developed countries.
  • Providing supplies to under and unfunded community schools.
  • Rehabilitating and constructing playing grounds for community schools and also providing sporting materials to these schools.
  • Sponsoring of school debates and talent shows.
  • Establishing after school classes for children in rural communities

Health Care

Our Health care system is oppressing the poor not to able to afford health care plans for their kinds.

Every year the total of children dying because of don’t have health care it’s on the increase.

Most nations are capable to undertake a health plan system that will provide a free and affordable health care plan to parents who can’t able to afford health care service to their children. Also most nations are capable to build health care centers in almost all the corners of our countries.

These have been a pressing issue to many people because the rate of children dying because their parents can’t able to afford a health care for them is on the increase.

Therefore CAI is working on a range of programs to ensure that we help the millions of children who are suffering because of they don’t have health care and also because of most rural communities can’t able to access closer health centers because of distance and lack of road facility

We engage on:

  • Constant dialogue with authorities to help create an affordable health care plan for all children
  • Involve in massive community sensitization and community meetings on complementing the efforts of organizations and the government on trying to create a health care facility for all
  • Seek out hospital materials donations to provide it to rural community health centers.

HIV/AIDS

HIV is another important issue we seek to address through our programs.

A large percentage of infections are due to lack of sanitary medical supplies and general hygiene associated with extreme poverty.

Many efforts have been made and continue to be made to stop the spread of this epidemic and to help those already infected, yet every day this disease is contracted by thousands of men, women, and children in underdeveloped countries.

As an organization we are working on series of programs to work alongside existing initiatives put in place by governments, individuals and organizations.

  • Empowering schools with financial and technical supports to help create and increase teaching programs at school on HIV/AIDS.
  • Providing supports to affected and infected children with HIV
  • Encouraging pregnant women and children above 14 years of age to be regularly tested
  • Empowering children to join the fight through sponsoring child initiated workshops and increased awareness

Water & Sanitation

The need for clean and safe drinking water is a foundational need for any community to survive.

This has been a major problem facing children more in rural communities. It is clear that lesser children in rural communities have clean water access and sanitize community compared to those in urban communities.

The rates at which diseases are increasing in these communities are really alarming to child advocates and organizations.

CAI is working to help improve the sanitation facility and access to clean and safe drinking water to children in these communities through the following programs

  • Providing mini-grants to communities to build water wells
  • Empowering local community groups to facilitate regular community efforts to clean and sanitize water and their environment as a whole
  • Facilitating direct meetings with community leaders to create teamwork and participation towards the goal of cleaner communities

Child Participation
& Protection

Children are the awaiting and practicing leaders. They need to be taken care of and be given the opportunity to voice out their views and participate on matters affecting them and make decisions when possible.

In CAI we believe strongly that a nation without children’s issues at the top of their agenda is a nation not heading towards sustainable development because its these children who are going to take up leadership in the very near future.

CAI works on a range of issues on Child Participation and protection from all forms of violence.

  • We work on providing and supporting a platform / forum that children can use to voice out matters affecting them and to become involved in decision making
  • Protecting children from Trafficking, labor, sexual abuse, harassment, Early Marriage, Female genital mutilation (FGM)
  • We protect children from living on the street.

We focus on these programs and we implement them through

  • Constantly and powerfully encouraging the government to implement the Child Right Act of 2007
  • Providing support to children and parents that are victims of abuse and exploitation
  • Providing support to children in the street and placing them in foster homes and reintegrating as many as possible with their parents with proper supervision and support
  • Connect children to other children in other parts of the world
  • Facilitating Exchange trips for children and creating a board of cordial communication
  • Sponsoring child initiated  programs
  • Commemorating the Day of the African Child
  • Organizing workshops and sanitizations

Games & Sport

The Convention of the Right of the Child (CRC) has determined that children should have the right to enjoy their leisure time in a constructive and positive manner.

We strongly have that believe that sports can be a powerful tool to build communication skills, teamwork, leadership qualities at a young age, and overall cooperation with a group.

CAI is providing supports to children of any kind despite of their physical conditions, beliefs, color, tribe etc to realize that such rights have been given to them.

We are working on:

  • Supporting community schools to develop and organize inter school sporting activities like Track events, Soccer, Volley Ball, and other sports.
  • Creating a sustainable cultural dancing group of disabled girls (this is very important because these girls will be using this medium to educate people that they too can do whatever an able person can do despite of their physical conditions. (This will be also used to sensitize people on issues like Malaria, Polio etc.)
